About me
Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they can't quite explain, and ready to change them. Together, we'll make sense of where you've been, so we can focus on where you want to go next. As a Turkish Muslim woman who has lived across cultures and places, I know the value of not having to explain yourself. Your culture, faith and identity will be understood and respected, never an afterthought.
I am a BACP-registered counsellor and a Trainee Counselling Psychologist working towards HCPC registration, with extensive experience across private, NHS, and forensic services. I work with children, young people, families and adults.
Taking the first step can feel daunting, and it's okay if you're not sure where to start or what to say. You don't need to have it all figured out before we meet. If something here resonated with you, I'd love to hear from you, and we can explore together what it is you're looking for.
Training, qualifications & experience
My work rests on a person-centred, humanistic foundation: you're the expert on your own life, and our relationship comes first. I mostly think and work psychodynamically, exploring how past experiences shape the patterns you notice today. Where it helps, I weave in practical CBT tools, so you leave with a deeper understanding of yourself and real ways to make change.

My experience spans schools, prisons, perinatal mental health services, NHS and private practices, and along the way I’ve sat with people through a wide range of what life brings: family difficulties, the transitions of parenthood, birth trauma, neurodiversity, childhood trauma, relationship and sex difficulties, low mood, anxiety, OCD, work stress, and the ache of friendships ending. Whatever you’re bringing to this space, I’ll meet it with the same care and curiosity I bring to everything else.
I try to show up as a human being first, and a therapist second, while always working within the ethical and professional standards my training holds me to.
Committed to ongoing CPD and engaging in regular supervision.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
