About me
Hello, I’m Eda, an experienced Art Psychotherapist offering a warm, calm, and creative space for adults, children and adolescents to explore emotions, relationships, and life’s challenges.
What brings you here today?
You may be feeling anxious, low, stuck, or overwhelmed. Perhaps you’re facing grief or change, struggling with self-esteem, or finding it hard to communicate or connect to yourself or others. You may have experienced a significant life event, or you may just be wanting to find out more about yourself at this time.
Whatever brings you here, you are not alone in your journey. Together, we can explore what’s happening beneath the surface, make sense of feelings, and move toward healing, clarity, and growth.
How can I help you?
My approach is psychodynamic psychotherapy – I work with the unconscious, paying attention to both your present and past experiences and needs, and the deeper patterns that may have shaped your experiences.
My practice is trauma-informed and culturally responsive - I work at your pace, offering a space that values curiosity, respect, and collaboration.
Art psychotherapy combines the power of creativity with verbal reflection. When you come for art therapy, you don’t need to be “good” at art or have any previous experience in art making — the focus isn’t on producing something finished or perfect, but on what emerges in the process and the meaning you make of it.
Sessions may include a mix of talking, art-making, and reflection. There’s never pressure to create — I’ll support you to find your own comfort, rhythm, and creative flow.
This process can help you to:
- Find alternative ways to express and process emotions that feel painful, confusing, overwhelming, or hard to put into words
- Reduce anxiety and support emotional regulation through creative engagement
- Build self-awareness and confidence by exploring identity and connecting past and present patterns and experiences
- Work through grief, loss, trauma and life transitions at your own pace
Explore your experiences safely, gain insight, and find relief - Improve communication and relationships by deepening emotional understanding of yourself
- Reconnect with creativity and playfulness, fostering resilience, self-esteem and greater wellbeing
