About me
I offer counselling sessions for adults and young people online or by telephone. My practice is inclusive and culturally aware, and I am committed to understanding and respecting the diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences of all my clients.
This includes a dedicated focus on issues related to race and identity, recognising the unique challenges faced by individuals from marginalised and minority communities.
My approach is client-centred and integrative, combining evidence-based methods with creative and personalised techniques to foster healing, self-awareness, and growth.
I have completed Level 5 training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and use CBT-informed techniques within my counselling practice. This approach can help you explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, supporting you to gain new perspectives and develop more balanced ways of thinking.
I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, build resilience, and work towards greater wellbeing. I believe that the relationship between counsellor and client is central to meaningful therapeutic change and personal growth.

Experience
I have worked with a wide range of clients across various age groups, each experiencing a broad spectrum of emotional difficulties and life challenges. In my therapeutic work, I support clients through both long-term, open-ended therapy and short-term, time-limited sessions. My areas of expertise include helping individuals navigate depression, loss, chronic illness, anxiety, stress, and work-related issues, and the intersectionality of these with race and cultural identity.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
