About me

Hello and thank you for visiting my profile! I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with many years experience working in the NHS with people dealing with trauma, anxiety and depression and perinatal mental health difficulties. I want to offer you a therapy experience that is centred around your needs. You might be struggling with relationships in your life, dealing with worries and anxiety or unresolved traumatic experiences - or you might not know exactly what is wrong but are just looking for a place to talk and understand yourself better. I can offer a safe and calm space to explore what is going on for you and think together about ways we can help you.

I draw from many different therapeutic models, including Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic, Compassion-focused and Trauma-focused approaches, as well as EMDR and I use them to create an individual therapy experience for you.

Please get in touch via phone or email if you have any questions or to book in an initial, free 15 min consultation to get to know each other and think together about how I might be able to help. I would love to hear from you and I want to make sure we can find the approach that suits your life and your needs.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained as a Counselling Psychologist at the University of Surrey and have many years of experience working as a Senior Psychologist in the NHS. I specialise in trauma, anxiety and perinatal mental health issues.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
