About me

Life can be isolating particularly if you are struggling. I work side by side with my clients to address what it is you would like to work through.

Working at your pace, what ever that maybe. Talking in a safe space, using creative tools when there simply are no words to express what is going on or to work at a deeper level.

I am an Australian living in the UK for over 20 years and a keen traveller/explorer, hence my business name is Intrepid Counselling.

I trained in the UK and am experienced in helping clients with grief, loss and chronic health challenges (mainly MS) as well as adult adoptees, ADHD, Autism and Dyslexia.

I am committed to working with my clients in a mutual and collaborative way. To help gain good mental wellbeing, increase self-awareness and work towards desired outcomes. Together we discuss and look at areas such as problem solving, strengths, weaknesses and resources, values, goals and aims, coping strategies and self-care.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Diploma in Counselling in Transactional Analysis (TA), Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling Skills in Person Centred Counselling.

Personal and professional development is vital to my role therefore I take part in regular CPD.

Counsellor for Sussex MS Centre, MS-UK and Ataloss (UK’s bereavement signposting and information website).

I also facilitate Support Groups for people living with Multiple Sclerosis at the Sussex MS Centre consisting of blocks of 10-12 weekly sessions. Offering a safe place for people to talk about their problems and explore ways of acceptance, managing change and gaining self-confidence.

I worked at St Wilfrid’s Hospice as a Bereavement Counsellor. Counselling adults, children and young people. Also, Macmillan Cancer Support, providing counselling for cancer patients and family members.
