(MBACP) BA (Hons) Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy

About me

Thank you for taking the time to view my profile and for taking the first step towards positive change. Reaching out for support can feel daunting, especially when concerns relate to sex, intimacy or relationships. You will be met with warmth, understanding and respect. As an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with specialist training with CICS in Psychosexual Therapy, I offer a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space to explore sensitive concerns. Psychosexual therapy recognises the connection between mind, body, emotions and relationships, and how these influence sexual wellbeing and intimacy.
I work with individuals experiencing a range of psychosexual concerns, including difficulties with sexual desire, arousal, performance anxiety, intimacy challenges and relationship dynamics. Together we can explore the thoughts, feelings, beliefs and experiences that may be influencing your current difficulties in a supportive and confidential space.
My aim is to support you in developing greater self-awareness, confidence and wellbeing, helping you move forward in a way that feels empowering and fulfilling. If you feel ready to take the next step, I warmly invite you to reach out. We can begin to explore your concerns at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive for you

Training, qualifications & experience

Prior to qualifying with a BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from Suffolk University, I volunteered with The Samaritans as a listening volunteer. I held my student counsellor placement within Norfolk and Waveney Mind and at East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH).

I hold a certificate in Psychosexual Therapy with the Contemporary Institute of Contemporary Sexology.

I am a registered SandStory member which allows my clients to "tell their story" creatively in sand.

I am also a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and hold a current enhanced DBS.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
