About me
I’m a person‑centred counsellor offering a warm, grounded, and compassionate space for adults and young people who want to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace. My approach is gentle and collaborative: I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as you make sense of what’s happening and discover what you need.
I work in a trauma‑informed way, which means I prioritise emotional safety, choice, and empowerment throughout our sessions. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, past trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I offer a non‑judgemental environment where you can talk openly and be met with empathy and respect.
My practice is inclusive and welcoming to people from all backgrounds. I understand how important it is to feel truly heard, especially if you’ve had experiences where your voice wasn’t valued or your feelings weren’t taken seriously. Together, we can explore what’s going on for you, build self‑understanding, and support you in moving towards a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.
Sessions are available online, offering flexibility and comfort from your own space. If you’re unsure whether counselling is right for you, I’m happy to offer an initial conversation so you can get a sense of how we might work together.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a registered member of BACP and work to their ethical framework. I hold a L4 diploma in therapeutic counselling following the principles of person centred counselling. My training had a strong focus on empathy, emotional safety, and working at the client’s pace.
My background includes supporting adults and young people through a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, and the impact of past trauma.
Alongside my core counselling qualification, I have experience working with people who have been affected by crime, including, domestic abuse, sexual violence and homicide, offering sensitive, stabilising support during times of distress and uncertainty. This work has strengthened my commitment to creating a safe, steady, and non‑judgemental space where clients can feel heard and understood.
I continue to develop my practice through ongoing CPD, reflective work, and training that deepens my understanding of trauma, and inclusive practice. My aim is always to meet each client as an individual, honouring their unique experiences and supporting them in a way that feels respectful, collaborative, and empowering.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I believe the relationship between counsellor and client is at the heart of meaningful therapeutic work. When you feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood, it becomes possible to explore difficult feelings and experiences with greater ease. My focus is on building a trusting, collaborative relationship where you can be fully yourself without fear of judgement or pressure.
For me, counselling isn’t something done to you - it’s something we create together. When the relationship feels strong, clients often find they can go deeper, make connections, and discover insights that feel empowering and transformative.
