About me

At times, our own thoughts can feel overwhelming. You might find yourself feeling anxious, distressed, scared, or even trapped, leading to behaviours that you wouldn’t choose otherwise. These struggles can negatively impact various aspects of your life, from social and family relationships to work and personal well-being.

However, you don’t have to face these challenges alone, as I’m here to support you in finding the best solutions to improve your quality of life.

My goal is to help you find greater happiness, confidence in facing life’s challenges, and renewed motivation to embrace each day fully. I am dedicated to supporting you in enhancing self-awareness, gaining insight into your difficulties, and utilising your inner strengths. Together, we will develop practical coping skills and effective strategies to overcome obstacles and achieve lasting personal growth.

My approach is all about empowering you to become resilient and self-sufficient, not just during our sessions but well beyond them. Imagine becoming your own therapist, capable of tackling life's challenges with confidence and grace.

Let’s take this journey together. Contact me today, and let's start building a better tomorrow.

I am Dimitrios, a highly qualified Integrative Counsellor and accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with many years of experience in helping people navigate psychological and emotional distress. I specialise in clinical assessments and treatments for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, Social Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), phobias, and panic disorder. Beyond these, I can support you with health anxiety, trauma, panic attacks, agoraphobia, anger, shame, personal development, body image issues, insomnia, work-related stress, self-esteem, ADHD, low confidence, anger management, and relationship or familial difficulties.

I offer evidence-based psychotherapy, primarily using the CBT approach, but I also integrate elements from other therapeutic methods when needed. This ensures you receive a personalised therapy experience tailored to your unique needs, resulting in effective and long-lasting outcomes.

In our sessions, you will find a safe and confidential space to explore your difficulties and concerns. I strictly adhere to ethical guidelines set by professional bodies, guaranteeing a non-judgmental and unbiased environment. My approach is both friendly and empathetic, fostering a warm and genuine atmosphere for your comfort.

Additionally, building a trustworthy therapeutic relationship is essential for positive treatment outcomes. Therefore, I am dedicated to creating this connection and supporting you on your journey toward well-being and personal growth.

Remember, mental health is just as vital as physical health for living a fulfilling life. Don’t let your problems hold you back when there are ways to overcome them. I understand that finding a therapist and scheduling that first appointment can be overwhelming. However, taking that first step can significantly improve your well-being and overall quality of life.

Investing in your mental health is always worthwhile because you deserve to feel happy and fulfilled. With the proper support and mindset, meaningful change is possible.

"Nothing is impossible for those who believe."

“Growth occurs when individuals confront problems, struggle to master them, and through that struggle develop new aspects of their skills, capacities, views about life.”

Member organisations

BABCP
British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
