About me

I offer walk‑and‑talk therapy in natural outdoor spaces, creating a calm, compassionate environment where you can explore what’s going on for you at your own pace. My approach is gentle, respectful, and grounded in trust - I walk alongside you, listening with care and supporting you to reconnect with yourself in a way that feels steady and safe.

My work is rooted in the belief that you already hold the wisdom you need to move forward. I don’t come with assumptions or a fixed agenda; instead, I offer a warm, steady presence where you can explore your experiences in your own way. Trust is central to this process - a trusting relationship where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely heard. My role is to walk beside you, listening with care and supporting you as your own clarity begins to emerge.

I offer walk‑and‑talk therapy, where the simple act of moving through nature becomes part of the healing process, and the landscape around us holds space for whatever you need to bring.

Why Choose Walk‑and‑Talk Therapy?

Walk‑and‑talk therapy blends the support of counselling with the gentle benefits of being outdoors. Light movement can ease tension and support wellbeing, while the natural environment often helps feelings find their own way forward. Thoughts that feel heavy indoors can soften in the open air, and moments of overwhelm may ease with the steadiness of the ground beneath your feet.

Being outside can help therapy feel less intense, more spacious, and more flexible. The rhythm of walking can help conversations flow naturally, and the changing environment can support a sense of clarity, relief, and connection. For many people, it becomes a way of finding breath, perspective, and a gentler relationship with themselves.

If it feels supportive, you’re welcome to bring your dog along. Some people find comfort in having their companion with them, and for others it’s a way to support their dog’s wellbeing too. We can walk at a pace that suits everyone.

My Approach

My approach is rooted in the values of person‑centred therapy, with a focus on building a trusting, respectful relationship where you feel genuinely heard and understood. I don’t lead or direct; instead, I offer a calm, grounded presence that allows your own insights to emerge naturally. You set the pace, and I stay alongside you - attentive, open, and responsive to what you need in each moment.

I believe that therapists can only accompany clients as far as they’ve travelled within themselves. My own journey through therapy has shaped the way I work - with honesty, humility, and a deep respect for the trust you place in me. You’re not alone in this process; we move through it together.

Working outdoors often supports this process. Light movement, fresh air, and the steadiness of the natural environment can help ease stress and create a sense of spaciousness. Thoughts that feel heavy indoors can shift more easily, and emotions can feel less overwhelming when held by the landscape around us.

While my foundation is person‑centred, I may draw on ideas from other therapeutic approaches if they feel useful for you. The focus always remains on your experience, your voice, and what feels right for you. Together, we create a compassionate space where you can reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been waiting to be acknowledged, understood, and held with kindness.

Who I Work With / What I Can Help With

People come to walk‑and‑talk therapy for many different reasons. Some of the areas I support include:

  • Grief and loss
  • Life transitions (changes in identity, roles, relationships, and diagnosis)
  • Low self‑esteem or self‑confidence
  • Anxiety and worry
  • Depression or low mood
  • Feeling stuck or overwhelmed
  • Relationship or family difficulties
  • Stress, burnout, or emotional fatigue
  • ADHD (identity, overwhelm, regulation, and self‑understanding)
  • Infertility and reproductive challenges
  • A desire for space, clarity, or reconnection with yourself

You don’t need to have the “right” words or a clear reason for seeking therapy. If something in your life feels heavy, confusing, or in need of gentle attention, we can explore it together at a pace that feels safe for you.

Next Steps

If you feel drawn to this way of working, or if something in your life is asking for space and understanding, you’re very welcome to get in touch. We can take things at a pace that feels right for you and explore together whether walk‑and‑talk therapy could offer the support you’re looking for. When you’re ready, I’m here to walk alongside you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Practicalities of Walk-and Talk Therapy

Sessions can continue in most weather, as long as it feels safe and manageable. Light rain or cooler days can still offer a reflective, grounding atmosphere. If the weather becomes unsafe or very uncomfortable, I can offer your session online, over the phone, or at your home instead. We can decide together what feels most supportive on the day.

We choose quieter paths where possible, but being outdoors means we may occasionally pass other people. If this happens, we simply pause the conversation until it feels private again.
