Denise James. MA, PGDip, MBACP Psychotherapist and Counsellor
Are you struggling with feelings of anxiety and depression, unsure as to where your life is heading? Perhaps you keep finding yourself in the same unhealthy situations again and again, unsure of how you got there or how you can change things? Are you worried abut how much you are drinking, gambling or eating to cope for example?
We can all reach crisis points at any stage in our lives, and this can leave us feeling helpless and anxious. Whatever issues you are facing, talking to a professional, highly trained therapist could help.
I work from a pleasant, inviting therapy room and have over 10 years experience of providing psychotherapy and counselling to a wide range of clients seeking a place to talk. I have worked in a variety of settings including health care, further education establishments, with victims of abuse and clients struggling with addiction. I also see clients in my private practice.
I am an experienced Integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, trained to Masters degree level. I tailor the work with my clients to their own specific issues and experience, rather than using a ‘one theory fits all’ approach. The therapy I offer is also warm and person centered, giving you a chance to talk about how you feel with someone who is fully trained, experienced and non judgemental, and who will work with and support you to resolve the issues that bring you to therapy.
I have also written and delivered workshops to clients, facilitated group therapy, and helped couples and families work through their issues in a confidential, supporting environment.
