About me

Whatever is bothering you ... it matters. If it's causing you sleepless nights, it's a problem. Feeling stuck, or frustrated…. Let’s get you moving forward.

Hello, I’m Del, a BACP-Registered Counsellor specialising in Couples Counselling and Individual Therapy on the Wirral and Online across the UK.

www.bestselftherapy.co.uk | Best Self Therapy

✨ I work with couples who feel stuck in patterns of conflict, disconnection, or miscommunication … often going round in circles, having the same arguments, or feeling increasingly distant from each other.

Many of the couples I support are navigating midlife challenges, such as menopause, ADHD and neurodiversity, changing roles, or the impact of long-standing relationship patterns … often it’s the roommate scenario - “I don’t even know you anymore!” … there but not there.

Couples counselling offers a space to pause and understand what’s really happening beneath the surface. My role is to support both of you in feeling heard, while helping you recognise and shift the patterns that keep you stuck.

I can help you to: Communicate more effectively - Understand recurring conflict - Rebuild connection - Navigate change within your relationship

My approach is warm, balanced, grounded and non-judgemental. I don’t take sides, but I will gently challenge where needed to support meaningful change.

✨Alongside my couples work, I also offer individual therapy for anxiety, depression, stress & overthinking, self-awareness/self-esteem, grief & loss and trauma.

I have an integrative approach which means I don’t shoe-horn you into a certain therapy but listen to you and what you need right now.

*My practice is neuro-affirming - so please come as you are, masking is not necessary here.

Sessions & Fees:

 • Couples: 75 minutes (£100) or 50 minutes (£80)

 • Individuals: 50 minutes (£60)

✨ I offer a free 20-minute consultation with no pressure or obligation, needs to be the right fit.

So if you're ready to explore your thoughts, emotions and behaviours - on your own or as a couple - take that first step towards seeking help, I know it can be quite daunting, but if you're ready to embark on this journey, please reach out to me for a free initial chat. Ask any questions. Let's see where we can go from there.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
