About me
Hi, and welcome! I’m Deborah, and I’m so pleased you’re here. I am a dedicated, degree-qualified counsellor with 550+ supervised clinical hours of direct client experience. In addition to my private practice, where I offer remote sessions, I also serve as a sessional counsellor at Mind, where if you are local you can call the Team to make a request to book a face to face session with me.
Deciding to explore counselling is a huge step, and it shows how much you value your well-being. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just need someone to talk to, I want you to know that this is a space where you’ll feel supported and understood.
In addition to weekly sessions, I offer single sessions as an option for those who may prefer a more flexible approach; you can choose!
Therapy with me will enable you to address specific concerns in a safe, focused, and supportive environment where you will begin to feel hopeful and make positive adjustments.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Your journey begins with a complimentary 20-minute consultation. This session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss your concerns, and explore how I can support you. It's a safe, no-pressure space where you can ask questions and determine if my approach feels right for you.
You can decide whether you want a single session or weekly sessions. Usually, weekly sessions run over 6-8 weeks; this depends on your needs. Some clients may need more, some less. Plus, you can stop the counselling when you feel you have explored everything you came to therapy for.
