About me

I offer counselling & psychotherapy in Hull, East Yorkshire. I help people to work through difficulties they are facing in life and to improve their mental health & emotional wellbeing. I also help couples to work through any relationship difficulties they are facing.

I understand from my own personal journey of psychotherapy how difficult it can be to allow yourself to be vulnerable and ask for help. It takes courage and strength to access therapy and reaching out is often the hardest step.

Training, qualifications & experience

Prior to being a therapist, I worked in mental health services for almost 20 years in supporting and managerial  roles. Throughout this time, I developed significant experience and a genuine passion in helping people with mental health difficulties. In particular, with adults and young people struggling with eating disorders or eating difficulties, and obsessive-compulsive behaviours.

I have a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and a Level 6 Diploma in Integrative & Transactional Analysis Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I'm also due to qualify with a level 7 in Psychotherapy in July 2024.
