Where do you begin to chose a counsellor or therapist? You must be overwhelmed by all the different registrations and qualifications. Please be assured in that I am UKCP registered, that's more than just applying for a membership of an organisation; it takes years of training to be a registered psychotherapist or an accredited counsellor with the main therapy organisations. It also takes years of training to reach Master's level and again to reach the level of Doctor of Psychotherapy. In addition I have over 25,000 hours of clinical experience over thirty years.
I have been the director of Canterbury Counselling and Psychotherapy centre for sixteen years and have worked with adult and adolescent clients in Canterbury, London and abroad.
You will gain a professional assessment at our first meeting and I offer long term psychoanalytic psychotherapy and short term counselling and psychotherapy which may include EMDR techniques. The latter is particularly useful in cases of anxiety, panic attacks, trauma and phobias and complex grief.
For a quick reply please text me and I'll reply within an hour, I will probably be in sessions so emails may take a bit longer. Choose wisely; this is your investment in you and it isn't always about the first person to get back to you.
For those who find it difficult to attend sessions in person I am available for telephone and online counselling.
The Wellbeing centre is located at the rear of Lombard House. You can park right outside the building in Hollman's Meadow car park.
