About me
Hi, I am a person-centred counsellor, which means that I place you at the heart of our work together, this approach empower you, the client with my help and guidance to find your own solutions, My approach is based on the principles developed by Carl Rogers, who believed that every individual has the capacity for growth and change when provided with the right conditions. In our sessions, I offer empathy, authenticity, and a non-judgmental, safe space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. Rather than directing or diagnosing, I work alongside you, trusting that you are the expert in your own life.
I work with a wide range of concerns and conditions, including anxiety, depression, low mood, stress, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, identity issues, and life transitions. I also support clients experiencing challenges related to school, work, family dynamics, and emotional regulation. Whatever brings you to counselling, we can explore it together at your pace.
In my practice, I see adults, young people, and children. I understand that each stage of life brings its own challenges, and I adapt my approach to suit the developmental needs of the individual, ensuring that children and young people feel just as heard and respected as adults.
I offer a student discount and a reduced rate for individuals receiving benefits. I understand how financially challenging it can be to manage living costs while studying or relying on benefits. Accessing support should not feel out of reach because of financial pressure. For this reason, I provide these reduced rates to help make counselling more accessible to those who may need it most.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully accredited UKCP counsellor, qualified to degree level, and I can work with student counsellors. I have extensive experience working with stress, social anxiety, loneliness, and low mood.
