About me
I offer therapy to individuals, couples and people in all types of relationships.
Have a look at the way I work and if it sounds like what you are looking for, message me for a free introductory call.
I offer a safe, supportive and confidential space to explore any concerns that you wish to bring. As we have all felt lost, alone or unheard at some point in our lives, I think that everyone can benefit from counselling.
I believe that each person knows what is best for them; however, life experiences can cloud our connection with who we truly are. Counselling can help to re-establish that connection. It is not always an easy path; it can bring up painful feelings. I am always present with you and give you time to tell your story and I hope to get to know your true self. I may ask questions or repeat things that you say or sometimes I will just sit in silence holding the space.
I believe that no two clients are the same and so I take an integrative approach. This means that I have a range of different tools, which can be combined and used depending on what is best for each client. I may use warm person centred techniques to allow you to share your thoughts and feelings, and so relax into yourself. On other occasions, I might take a more pyschodynamic approach helping you become aware of how past situations or events may still be influencing your behaviours today, giving you new options for tomorrow.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
