About me
My name is David Campbell and I offer outcome based therapy for complex based issues like depression, low self esteem, anxiety, addiction, and relationship challenges whether that is at home or work. We can only truly move past them by understanding where they originate from and deal with them as they present in your current life. This may involve looking at past experiences and the emotions associated with them in a compassionate, empathic, non-judgemental, curious way, creating the right conditions for you to get to the source of your problem and see how certain triggers from the past directly inform how you think, feel, and behave in the present moment.
I am an integrative therapist which means that I work across many different disciplines and draw from several therapeutic orientations to find the approach that works best for you. The work I do is adapted to your specific needs, whatever they may be, in an empathic, confidential, secure space where we can stimulate “change through conversation and take action.”
If you are thinking about seeking counselling in Epsom, Leatherhead, Tadworth, Raynes Park, Worcester Park, Guildford, and the wider Surrey area, or come from further afield which includes London and Kent and wish to receive support using a secure platform, please feel free to get in touch and we can set up an initial no obligation consultation.
Training, qualifications & experience
H.E. Diploma in Psychodynamic Therapy - University of Greenwich - Grade: Distinction
Taking the first step in seeking Counselling may feel like an unnerving experience initially. It could feel like you are walking into the unknown and speaking with a complete stranger. Based on the feedback I receive from my clients they tell me that there is a huge sense of relief in being able to share their innermost thoughts and fears. My clients and I form a bond of trust and understanding where they can bring whatever they are comfortable in sharing. This takes time but is hugely rewarding.
I'm motivated to understand your struggles and walk alongside you as we work through them together without judgement. Please remember it only takes a call or email to get started on your journey.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
"Life is a one time opportunity let's make the most of it" Before training to become a counsellor in Epsom, my background was in a high-pressure corporate environment, with plenty of experience of working with different cultures in various countries including sales teams, marketing executives and senior management. I bring this experience and interest into my work with individuals, couples, and groups, supporting their growth through creating an environment of trust, compassion, experience and wisdom. My knowledge and understanding that comes with balancing a challenging work life with a family and social life means I can understand your struggles and walk alongside you as we work through them together.
After training, and whilst building my private practice, I worked as a volunteer counsellor with several groups dedicated to people’s emotional well-being, including a leading counselling agency in London – supporting many clients over a number of years. I have also been a trusted advocate for mental health in several of the corporate businesses where I have worked. Since then, private work with clients has become my main focus. In addition to working as a therapist in Surrey, I also work confidentially with corporate clients in supporting the mental health of their employees in today’s ever-changing work environment.
As a registered and professionally trained member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), I always work in accordance with their ethical, confidential, and professional guidelines.
