About me

As a registered practitioner psychologist with over 10 Years of experience in the national health service (NHS), I'm passionate about helping individuals create positive change in their lives through evidence-based therapy. My approach integrates cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and eye movement desensitisation therapy (EMDR) to provide you with the tools and support you need to achieve your goals. Together, we will create a safe and nurturing space for you to explore your experiences and move towards a more fulfilling life.

In addition to my work in the NHS as a principal psychologist and clinical supervisor, I hold a small private practice. The aim of which is to provide safe and effective therapy to those seeking support outside of the NHS. In my experience there can be several reasons why people choose to seek private therapy, however flexibility and choice are often key deciding factors.

If you choose to work with me, you can be assured that you will be working alongside a competent and responsible psychologist. While I have worked with many different individuals and issues, I offer therapy only in the areas where I hold specific expertise.

Therefore, you can be confident that you will receive expert support for the following issues:

  • Difficulty adjusting to a health diagnosis
  • Health related mood difficulties (e.g., Depression, Anxiety, Panic, and post-traumatic stress disorder)
  • Medical anxiety/phobias (including needles, procedures and surgery)
  • Medical trauma

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a proud Irishman living in London. I completed my psychology degree in University College, Cork, Ireland before moving to the United Kingdom 12 years ago to pursue further training. Since then, I have acquired a master's degree in Health Psychology from the University of Bath, a doctoral degree in Health Psychology from the University of the West of England, and a post-graduate diploma in cognitive behavioural therapy from Royal Holloway, The University of London. In addition to my formal qualifications, I have completed advanced training in eye movement desensitisation therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness-based cognitive behavioural therapy. During this time, I have been fortunate enough to work in some of London's most prestigious hospitals.
