About me

Life brings many challenges, and we might, understandably, seek support in navigating them at times. However, having the courage to discuss our issues and challenges can be incredibly difficult.

Often, we can suppress our feelings of unhappiness, but deep down, we can feel the pain from our past or the anguish from our current problems. Even if we do have someone to talk to, we can feel unable to share the truth for fear of hurting others or being judged by them if they were to know how we feel.

My therapy opens up a place where you can come to make sense of what’s affecting you and start to explore your feelings in a space that I hope feels comfortable, non-judgmental and safe. As someone independent and outside of your day-to-day life, my approach nurtures a way for you to gain deeper self-awareness, enabling you to make meaningful choices or discover new ways of responding and relating to the world.

As a registered integrative therapist, I incorporate Humanistic and Psychodynamic approaches along with Systemic Therapy, which considers the impact on the relationships between people and how those relationships impact you. I also integrate Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and practical models from Transactional Analysis.  I draw on my knowledge of the nervous system and neuroscience to help you understand how your brain and body work together, promoting a sense of safety and self-connection.

Every client brings a unique energy to the therapeutic space, so my approach adapts accordingly to meet your individual needs. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of therapy, and building trust and connection through holding space for you is at the heart of what I do.

I offer face-to-face and online therapy.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • BA (Hons) Human Resource Management
  • Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
  • Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
  • Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Studies
  • Level 2 Diploma in Counselling Skills

I have a background working in a competitive, highly pressured environment within corporate banking. Additionally, I worked with a leading UK-registered charity supporting family mental health and well-being.  I have also worked for Solar, and the partnership between Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, Barnardo's, and Autism West Midlands.

Furthermore, I provide counselling services to businesses and corporate clients, helping business owners and employees better understand and manage workplace pressures. Through individual and group counselling sessions, I create a supportive space where employees can explore their challenges, build emotional resilience, and develop coping strategies.

I am fully insured, all of my work is clinically monitored, and I hold a DBS certificate.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
