About me
I am a qualified therapist based in Peterborough.
Do you need support recognising abusive behaviours? Need to build yourself self back up after surviving the affects of Domestic abuse/sexual violence? Do you wish to gain the confidence back you once had, grow your self esteem, stop blaming yourself and feel more empowered to move forwards. Maybe you are having relationship difficulties, work struggles, dealing with loss or grief, trying the best you can to cope after experiencing Trauma, but don't feel like you have a handle on it, and feeling out of control. Maybe your struggling with your mental health in general? Feeling anxious, panicked, low in mood or lost. Finding yourself turning to methods of trying to regulate that might be causing more harm. Maybe you are noticing patterns of toxic or unhealthy relationships but not sure why you keep ending up here? Questioning whether you are in fact in an abusive relationship or needing support in recognising abusive behaviours?
I have been qualified since 2012 and worked alongside many charities/agencies along the way, supporting survivors of domestic abuse/sexual violence and crisis recovery work. I work with an integrative approach, meaning I use different schools of thought and modalities to support my work with you as an individual, that has their own individual needs. I recently completed extra training in sensorimotor psychotherapy. Which supports me to work with a body based approach, honouring the mind /body connection and the wisdom of the body.
I can support you to become more aware of how your nervous system and ways of being in the world may have its roots in your past experiences, and became adaptions that served you back then but keep on playing out in the present, sometimes not serving so well now. I listen intently and don't judge what you say, however will try to encourage you to become more compassionate to your struggles and help you to develop a greater self- awareness.
I will support you and offer the compassion/attention and conditions needed to enable you to explore yourself from a safe space - the therapeutic relationship we build. Working together side by side to get you to a place where you have met your goals or at least working towards them. I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I have recently completed level 1 (Trauma themes) and level 2 (Attachment and developmental injury) which is a somatic approach encouraging a mind body connection. It really compliments my Person centred core values and way of being in relationship.
