About me

Hello, I'm Danielle. I'm a pluralistic counsellor from Reading, Berkshire and I offer counselling support for children (aged 11+) and adults.  I am able to use a range of therapeutic modalities including; the humanistic approach, CBT techniques and the psychodynamic approach.

I offer support for as long as needed; adult therapy sessions can be face-to-face from The Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Henley, online or Walk and Talk therapy sessions in and around the Woodley area. Counselling sessions with children and young people are from my home in Woodley.

I am also an accredited Hypno4children practitioner and can work with children aged 5 to 18. Specialising in supporting children with anxiety; nail biting, sleep issues, exam stress, separation anxiety and more. https://www.hypno4children.co.uk/

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Level 5 Prof Dip in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice MNCPS (Acc)
  • Dip in counselling children and young people
  • Dip in Hypnotherapy MHS
  • Accredited Hypno4children practitioner
  • BA (Hons) Primary Ed QTS

Before I qualified as a counsellor I was a teacher for 20 years and this experience means I am able to work in a creative way with children and young people.

I worked in a day hospice for a over a year, which gave me the opportunity to support patients who were at the end of their lives, as well as supporting cancer patients and bereaved family members.
