About me

With over 10 years of experience working in mental health and wellbeing, for both Mind and private business, I provide authentic connection and support that enables you to explore, understand and resolve your challenges or goals safely and successfully.

Using my unique blend of lived and learned experience, I offer short and long-term talking therapy to adults aged 18 and over. With issues I can help with including stress, anxiety, low mood and depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues (at home or work), navigating separation and divorce, infertility, parenting, bereavement and loss, identity, culture and spirituality, physical health-related issues, trauma and personal development.

I also offer specialised support to women who wish to connect with their innate power within themselves and in relationships with others.

After an introductory phone call where you outline your issues and get a feel for me and how I might work with you, you decide whether I am the right person to support you or not. Regular sessions are then 50 minutes long and can be offered on a weekly or fortnightly basis in person, online or over the phone. You chose which format best meets your needs, or we can agree on a flexible approach to the format of the work together if a mix of both in person and virtual suites your work or life circumstances better.

As a person-centred practitioner, I tailor my support to help you in the way you uniquely need. As part of this individualised approach, I apply my degree-level training from across a broad range of Humanistic disciplines. Including: Attachment Theory, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Life Course Theory, Focusing and more. If you would find it useful, we can also use alternative therapeutic approaches such as creative arts and sandtray therapy to explore your challenges.

Training, qualifications & experience

Level 5 Diploma in Humanistic Counselling (University of Chichester) completed June 2024.

I am due to finish the full University of Chichester undergraduate degree course in Humanistic Counselling in June 2026.

Additional professional training in Trauma Informed Practice was completed in 2023.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
