About me
Are you struggling with day to day life?
Do you have feelings of stress, anxiety and/or depression which you can't shake off?
Do you feel like you have no-one to talk to about the real you, or do you feel unheard?
Do events or feelings from your past dominate your present?
If the answer to any of the above questions are 'Yes', I can help.
I can provide a safe, non-judgemental, empathetic space for you to talk or vent about the issues important to you.
I practice person centred therapy, which is founded in the belief that the answers to your questions lie within yourself. Together, we would explore and unravel your questions to find your answers.
I offer an initial a free 20 minute assessment appointment by telephone or online chat for you to see if you feel comfortable talking with me, with no obligation for you to commit to any paid sessions after that.
Training, qualifications & experience
Before starting private practice, I worked in a voluntary capacity with clients who have had many different issues, including (but not exclusively) relationship problems, depression, stress, anxiety, self doubt, addiction and bereavement. At one of the places I volunteered I specifically helped LGBTQ clients struggling with identity, homophobia, and HIV+ diagnoses. I also have experience of working of neurodiverse individuals, including those with asperger’s syndrome and autism.
As well as my role as a counsellor, I work as a strategy coach for those who suffer with stress and anxiety in the workplace, and also as a mental health mentor for mature students
I am a registered member of the BACP and work within their ethical framework. I also hold a foundation degree in Person-centred counselling and psychotherapy.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
