About me

Welcome to A Time to Heal Counselling.

I'm Clare and I know life can be unpredictable. I understand taking the first steps to seek support can be difficult.

I am a person centred counsellor which means I offer a safe, confidential space for you to talk freely without judgement and I will work at your pace. I will listen and support you to gain a better understanding of what you're experiencing and to help you make positive changes to improve your emotional well-being.

I offer counselling for a variety of difficulties you may be experiencing. I have experience of working with:-

  • Anxiety
  • Bereavement
  • Family Difficulties
  • Low Self Esteem
  • Self Confidence
  • Grief and Loss
  • Life Transitions
  • Long Term Illness

I use an integrative approach which means I can offer a range of therapies and techniques so that in our one-to-one sessions we can work together to find an approach to best support your needs.

I understand it may take time for you to feel comfortable to explore your thoughts and feelings and that's okay, we can do it at your pace. I appreciate the financial and time restraints of having counselling and I will work with you to find a way to meet your needs.

Online and telephone counselling sessions are £40

Face to face counselling sessions are £50

All sessions are 50 minutes.

I offer a free 15 minute initial phone call to see if I’m the right counsellor for you.

Thank you for reading my profile, I hope I can be of support to you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
