About me
Hello and Welcome! If you, or a loved one, are looking for help with difficult life experiences or mental health struggles, then I am here to help. Perhaps you are experiencing Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) or the death of a loved one, or overwhelmed with low mood. No matter what you are going thorough, I understand the need for you to feel able to connect to a counsellor who can listen with real understanding and empathy. A person who will listen without judgement and help support you to reach your goals, and ultimately heal. I offer free 30 minute initial consultations, to see if I could be the counsellor you are looking for. I also offer specialist counselling for people with ADHD, Autism and AuDHD.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified therapist with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and experience supporting clients with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. I previously worked as a Counsellor for Mind and continue to work with individuals in my private practice, offering a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space for therapy.
Alongside my clinical work, I have facilitated therapeutic groups and teach Level 4 Therapeutic Counselling students about how to provide neurodivergent-affirming counselling. I am passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive environment for neurodivergent clients and have extensive knowledge of Autism, ADHD and AuDHD. My work is informed by professional training, clinical experience and ongoing learning, enabling me to support clients with sensitivity, understanding and respect for individual differences.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
