About me

"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom" ~ Anais Nin.

"There is nothing more in this world that can trouble you more than your own thoughts" ~ Anon.

Hello, my name is Claire and I have been a Professional Counsellor since 2008. I believe passionately in the power of counselling and genuinely love the work I do. I aim to offer a person-centered counselling service, with a safe, comfortable and professional environment within which the client can safely explore their feelings. This is a non-directive approach, and I fully believe that you, the client know yourself best. I am fully trained, work within a strong ethical framework, hold a fully enhanced DBS and insurance.

I genuinely understand how difficult it can be to reach out and ask for help. I believe this is a very brave move and is the first step on the journey to where you want to be.

I have had much experience working with both adults, young people and children`s issues, and am able to offer an empathic, understanding and gentle counselling service within the comfort of my own home.
My main priority is for you, the client to feel safe, understood and valued as an individual. No issue or problem can ever be considered too small.

A minimum of 6 sessions is recommended, with regular reviews to benefit both client and counsellor.
If you feel my service can offer you the help you may require, please be assured of a professional, confidential and understanding response.
I look forward to hearing from you.

My work space is cosy, welcoming and safe.

My work has given me great experience within the fields of domestic violence, self harm, depression, relationship issues, anxiety, bereavement, chronic illness, infertility, sexual abuse(current and historical), post natal, disability, addiction and eating disorders.

I also work in crisis intervention, child safeguarding and family support.
