I like to work collaboratively and find that working together benefits my clients by allowing them to feel in control of their therapy and able to make progress that feels right for them.
I work hard to foster a respectful therapeutic approach and offer a warmth and understanding that can help my clients feel able to explore and begin to resolve difficulties in their life.

Training, qualifications & experience
Cognitive Behavioural Therapist . (Also a registered mental health nurse)
CBT is the treatment of choice for the vast majority of emotional problems evidenced based and backed by the national institute of clinical excellence. Please see NICE website for more info.
EMDR eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing trained ( NICE recommended treatment for traumatic related problems such as PTSD)
Over 10 years experience working in the NHS working in specialist eating disorder service and primary care psychological therapy service at present.
Comprehensive experience of working with a variety of mental health and emotional problems. Using CBT and compassion focused therapy and Mindfulness.

Providing therapy to understand the negative patterns of thoughts ,feelings ,behaviours and emotions, looking at how these patterns have developed and what is contributing to maintain this, the goal being to break the pattern of negative thoughts feelings and behaviours to increase wellbeing and allow you to make clearer choices and feel less restricted by old patterns and habits.
