About me

I am a trauma clinician with 15 years experience, having been Clinical Director for Khiron Clinics IOP setting up the Day Clinic in 2021. Currently I provide trauma-informed private care for clients at the London Trauma Practice with complex trauma, anxiety disorders, and PTSD.

I use evidence-based  science informed interventions such as EMDR to help distressing memories, neurofeedback to settle neural pathways in the brain, somatic bodywork to release trauma held in the body as fear and incomplete responses, mindfulness to bring present moment strength, and Polyvagal theory to build tolerance and change your relationship to fight/flight/freeze. All these tools regulate the nervous system, resolve trauma symptoms such as  anxiety, depression, dissociation, OCD, rumination, feeling hopeless or helpless,  hyper-vigilance and self-harm and create healthy relationships. My work utilises all of these trauma modalities as a united framework.

I am a fully qualified and accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, a member of EMDR Association UK and the Sensorimotor Institute. I previously studied Business and Finance and later an MA in Psychotherapy. I have a background as an entrepreneur, running a successful design company for 2 decades, which has informed my therapy skills relating to professional development, leadership, and stress management.

I trained at Regents's University in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology and have been supervised by Deb Dana, Collen de Rango (Meadows U.S) and Janina Fisher in the last few years. I have been been trained by Linda Thai, Alexia Rothman and Bessel van der Kolke. I also previously worked as a psychotherapist for the NHS. I am located at my private practice in Brook Green, Hammersmith. W6 and in Central London( Marylebone).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
