About me

I currently only work with online clients.

Are you LGBTQIA+ seeking a safe, affirming space to explore your sexuality, gender or neurodivergence? Or have you experienced trauma, coercive or abusive relationships, whether in an intimate, family or religious context, or struggle with shame and guilt? You're not alone. I'm here to offer support, help you heal, and work towards a life where you feel empowered, accepted, and at peace.

By finding yourself here, you’ve already taken the first, often daunting, step towards seeking counselling. Whether you're facing ongoing issues or going through an unsettled period, I offer a safe space to talk and explore your experiences. I’m a qualified person-centred counsellor with a wealth of life experience that allows me to offer empathy and compassion. I believe this combination enables me to support those facing challenges. You're taking a brave step towards self-understanding, and I’m here to walk with you on that journey, offering the support you deserve.

I believe that with warmth, non-judgmental, and acceptance, we can reach our full potential and begin to heal. Person-centred counselling places you at the heart of your therapy, with your counsellor walking alongside you. I aim to provide this supportive space, including options like creative therapy, to help you explore and grow.

The time we spend together is wholly about you and what you bring to the sessions, where you will be seen and heard in a therapeutic relationship.

This talking therapy is suitable for many different issues, such as:

  • LGBTQ+.
  • Neurodivergence.
  • Domestic abuse.
  • Trauma.
  • Religious trauma and abuse.
  • Relationship issues.
  • Loss and grief.
  • Life transitions.
  • Sexuality/gender issues.
  • Childhood issues.
  • Self-esteem.

...and many other issues.

Training, qualifications & experience

Qualifications:

  • Access to Counselling level 3.
  • Person-centred counselling levels 4 and 5.
  • BA (Hons) Person-centred counselling level 6.

It is essential for me to continue educating myself alongside my degree, so I undertake various relevant CPD (continuing professional development) courses throughout the year.

For example; Creative counselling, Couples therapy, Understanding Domestic Violence and Abuse, Suicide Prevention and Self-harm.

I also have a special interest in working with clients who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community and clients who are neurodivergent (diagnosed or not). I feel it is important for marginalised people to have a safe counselling space.

I also am a sessional therapist for the LGBTQ+ Project.

Counselling placements:

  • Norfolk and Waveney MIND as a person-centred counsellor with over 18s.
  • The Pandora Project (counselling women affected by domestic abuse)

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
