About me
If you chose to work with me I pride myself on providing a safe, warm and friendly environment for you to explore your experiences, thoughts and difficult feelings without fear of judgement. With a deep understanding of ‘self’ and an open mind, I will walk with you through your experiences and aim to reconnect yourself with who you truly are and feel you can be.
Life can be extremely difficult and at times we can find ourselves overwhelmed by our past and present experiences, or anxious about the future. It can leave us feeling like we are stuck or drowning.
I feel you are the only expert on yourself and your own experiences, and I will provide support and guide you to find the clarity you might be looking for. My approach is to provide support for you in a way which allows you to find your own healing and to equip you with the tools and knowledge that will help you to understand the ‘what’s, why’s and how’s’. You will see your own worth and empower yourself from this deeper understanding and connection with yourself.
We can often find ourselves trapped in our past or anticipating the future, and this can stop us from being present. By exploring these feelings and experiences, we can identify what is holding you back, and by providing you with the right kind of support, I can help guide you back to the here and now by creating an environment that encourages and enhances growth.
As a Person-Centred counsellor, you will always be at the centre of our work, and our time together is yours to freely explore and guide the sessions wherever you wish to take them. I also provide CBT which allows me to work with you on a short term basis that targets any specific problems or goals.
I provide therapy for you to work through your difficult feelings and experiences - be that past, present or future.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
