About me
I’m a psychotherapist working with adults in London who are struggling to find fulfilment in their relationships or in life more broadly. You may be going through a major change, feeling stuck in patterns that don’t make you happy, or wondering why things that once made you happy no longer do.
I often work with people who struggle in the roles that they have taken on, whether in their career or in their relationships (partner, parent, adult child.) This might be in the context of a major life transition or loss, or it might be a slow realisation that you are unhappy, even though everything feels 'fine' on the surface.
My approach is psychodynamic, meaning I look at how past experiences influence present difficulties. I offer a space where we can explore what’s happening beneath the surface: the feelings, conflicts, and experiences that shape how you relate to others and yourself.
I offer both in-person sessions in Fitzrovia and online therapy for those who prefer to meet remotely.
Training, qualifications & experience
I’m a psychotherapist and clinical social worker with training in both the UK and the US. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University and postgraduate qualifications in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, including a PGDip in Foundations of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and a PGDip in Intercultural Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. I also completed postgraduate training at the William Alanson White Institute in New York City.
I am a Registered Member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and a member of the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists. I have over a decade of experience supporting adults through periods of change, relationship difficulties, and emotional distress.
In addition to my private practice, I served for over three years as an Honorary Counsellor at Highbury Counselling Centre in Finsbury Park, where I provided long-term psychodynamic therapy to adults from diverse backgrounds. Prior to building my London-based practice, I had a full-time private practice in New York City.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.
BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’ve been managing difficult feelings on your own for a long time. You've already taken the first step by starting the search for the right therapist. Ultimately, therapy is an investment in yourself. Research has shown that one of the most important measures of therapeutic success is the match between therapist and client.
Sessions are 45 minutes and usually take place weekly, either in person in London or online. I normally work with adults on an open-ended basis.
If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, I offer a free introductory call so we can think together about what you’re looking for and whether my approach might be a good fit. If you don't see availability on Counselling Directory that suits you, please reach out directly.
