About me
We all need support sometimes; we may feel stuck repeating unwanted behaviours or just feel down without knowing why. I provide a warm, friendly, safe environment where you can explore whatever is troubling you. I see my role as facilitating your understanding of yourself, helping you to become more aware of the sub-conscious processes that affect your life. I work in a friendly, caring and non-judgmental way to help you better understand, value and accept yourself.
I am an integrative therapist and use a range of techniques in a person-centred manner. Together, we can explore any past traumas that may be affecting your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, this can help you to put the past behind you and develop new ways of relating and being. I can help with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, addiction or just feeling down.
As one client said, “When I first reached out to Chris for counselling I’d been struggling with grief and ptsd for a long time as well as issues coping with my fibromyalgia. I was feeling very low and not who I used to be but Chris has helped me to get that back and I feel more like myself now than I have for years. I've been able to process my grief and ptsd which is something I never thought I'd achieve. I'm very grateful for all the help he’s given me.” - S
