About me

Hi, I’m Chloe, thank you for stopping and checking out my page. I understand that there can be a lot to think about when choosing the right counsellor for you, but I’m hoping to take the struggle out of it by telling you a little more about me.

I am a fully qualified and experienced Level 6 humanistic counsellor. With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

I work with adults and young people on a one-on-one basis either face to face, online or on the phone. I am fully insured to practice, holding a clean DBS check and up to date safeguarding training. I am a registered member of the BACP and have over 10 years’ experience working in mental health.

As a counsellor, I can help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences and empower you to make positive changes in your life. Counselling can be a valuable tool for improving your mental health and well-being. Through regular therapy sessions this can lead to greater self-awareness, resilience, and satisfaction with life.

My approach is trauma-informed, meaning I work with an understanding of how past experiences can impact emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and relationships in the present. I aim to create a therapeutic relationship that prioritises safety, trust, and empowerment, supporting clients at their own pace.

I hold specialist qualifications in counselling for children and young people and am passionate about helping younger clients build resilience and emotional awareness. In addition, I have extensive experience working in services supporting individuals with eating disorders and those affected by drug and alcohol addiction. This has given me a deep understanding of the complex emotional and behavioural challenges associated with these issues.

Whether you are seeking support for yourself or a loved one, I aim to provide a tailored approach that respects your unique journey. I believe healing is possible, and I am here to walk alongside you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
