About me

Hi, I’m Chloe. I’m a warm and supportive therapist, offering a space where you can come as you are, however you may be feeling. I will do my best to create a space in which you can explore any parts of yourself, welcoming those parts that might feel difficult to talk about.

I have experience working with people facing anxiety, self-doubt, low self-esteem, identity crises, relationship breakdowns, and many other challenges. Whatever you are facing, you will be met with kindness, compassion, and genuine curiosity. Having a calm and contained space for self-reflection can offer the opportunity for new perspectives to develop, alongside growing self-confidence and acceptance.

I offer counselling on a short or long-term basis to adults, either online, via phone, or in person at a private space in BS30, Longwell Green. Please get in touch to arrange a free online intro session. I'd love to hear from you.

I welcome clients of all genders, identities, and relationship structures, including those who are LGBTQ+ or in polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships.

How I work

As a person-centred therapist, I believe that past relationships and experiences shape our lives, and the stories we tell ourselves about them form a key part of our identity. Often, these stories are unconscious yet powerfully influence how we feel and behave. I will work with you to explore your patterns and belief system. Sometimes we need to consciously unlearn beliefs that keep us feeling stuck or unhappy.

Person-centred therapy is rooted in empathy, honesty and respect. This approach helps you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and empowers you to make positive changes at your own pace. My hope is that our work together gradually gives you the inner tools to live with greater ease and authenticity moving forward.

Each session will start the same way, with me asking you where you’d like to begin, or what you most need from the session ahead. You have the autonomy to decide what feels most important to explore. My role as the counsellor is to listen, reflect my understanding, connect you to your emotions, give space for you to feel, and decide what you need. Together, we will process your experience with a gentle and curious approach.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Free consultation

Taking the first step can feel really daunting, and understandably, you may feel overwhelmed with choice when selecting a counsellor. For this reason, I offer a free 20-minute phone or online consultation, where we can learn a little more about each other. This can help you to see how comfortable you feel working together.

Where we meet

I offer online counselling using Google Meet. I also have a private counselling room based in Longwell Green. The space is easily accessible from Kingswood, Keynsham, Emersons Green, Lyde Green, Hanham or Bath. There are plenty of free parking spaces available.
