About me
Dr Chirag Gorasia is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist. He has a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Birmingham as well as a bachelors and masters degree.
He is a registered Clinician with the Health and Care Professions Council and a Member of the British Psychological Society, Association of Clinical Psychologists and Association of Child and Adolescent Mental Health. He has over 15 years of clinical experience and has experience working with children and adolescents, families, adults and people with Learning Disabilities. He has experience in providing individual therapy, family work and group therapies for people with both physical and mental health difficulties.
He believes it is important to consider evidence-based practice whilst still being person-centred and draws on a wide range of models including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Rational Emotional Behavioural Therapy, Systemic Therapy, Mindfulness, EMDR and Psychodynamic approaches. He has worked in some of the country’s top hospitals including Great Ormond Street Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital (Evelina) and Royal National Orthopedic in both inpatient and outpatient clinics both in the NHS and privately on the world-renowned Harley Street. He has also worked with community groups and charities.
In addition to therapy, Dr Chirag also provides supervision, reflective practice, teaching, training and consultancy. Dr Chirag is also fluent in Gujarati and can provide services in Gujarati too.
