About me
I am an experienced therapist offering counselling to young people and adults both in person and face to face. My aim is to offer a supportive, safe, caring and confidential space for you to talk through anything you feel ready to. This time is your time, to focus on yourself at your pace.
I specialise in counselling for young people. The areas I cover are anxiety, stress, depression, anger, relationships, abuse, bereavement and loss, and families with additional needs.
All emotions and feelings have a role but sometimes these emotions and feelings can become too big and overwhelming. By having someone other than family and friends to talk to you can explore these emotions without the thought of upsetting or worrying your family and friends.
Training, qualifications & experience
Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
As part of my continued development I attend regular training courses. Some of these courses have been on eating disorders and disordered eating, anxiety, depression and low mood, suicide awareness, counselling with young people and more.
I have over 3 years experience as a qualified counsellor of which I have always worked with young people. My placement when training was with a charity that specialises in counselling for young people. I am still a volunteer for this charity. Before counselling I had over 10 years experience working with children.
My experience working with young people and adults has covered areas such as anxiety, depression, self esteem, confidence, abuse, bereavement, disability, anger, relationships and more. I also have personal experience around additional needs and the emotional difficulties this can bring to the individual and their family and friends.
