About me
Affirming of ADHD, autism and all LGBTQ+ identities. Maybe you’ve always felt like you’re on the outside. Maybe you’re aware of feeling different in some way and you’re trying to figure out who you are, but it’s hard to make sense of it all. You might feel like you’re too much and not enough at the same time. Perhaps you’ve never felt like you belong. You might want to connect with people but find it hard to let them in, afraid of being hurt or rejected. Or maybe you’ve always felt that you had to put other people first to avoid losing them, and you’ve had to ignore your own feelings for so long that you’re not sure you deserve to focus on yourself. You might not know how to set boundaries; it might seem scary or even impossible.
Past experiences can shape how you think and feel about yourself, and your relationships with others. Perhaps you’re aware of traumatic or difficult experiences that have stayed with you and affect your life in the present. Or maybe you’re not sure when your struggles began but you have anxiety, low self-esteem or relationship issues. While trying to cope with struggles or find connection with others, we can get caught in patterns without fully understanding why and it can feel very hard to bring about positive change.
As a neurodivergent and queer therapist, I am passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients and the LGBTQ+ community, as my own personal lived experiences give me insight into how different aspects of identity can impact mental health, daily life and relationships. I am happy to adapt sessions to meet your sensory needs. I offer a non-judgmental approach to help explore what your experiences mean to you and how you might discover and express more of your authentic self, while developing coping skills if you find this useful. Your identity might not be the focus of our work together, but it can be helpful to know that your therapist recognises and honours these parts of you.
I hope to offer you the time and space to process your feelings and experiences. I bring warmth and curiosity and I believe that collaborative exploration is important, so that we can begin to connect with and heal the wounded parts of yourself, at a pace that feels right for you. I would love to be alongside you as you start to understand and accept yourself on a deeper level, hopefully feeling empowered to develop healthier relationships with yourself and others.
As an integrative counsellor I can adapt my approach to work with your individual needs and goals, although the therapeutic relationship is always central in the process. Being truly seen, heard and accepted in a safe space can be very powerful and healing, and this might be a new experience for many people.
It’s important to find a therapist you feel comfortable with, and it can feel like a big decision to make. I offer a free initial consultation of up to 15 minutes by phone call or online meeting, which gives you a chance to briefly talk about why you are seeking counselling and ask any questions you might have for me. This can help us get a sense of whether we might work well together, and to decide if you’d like to begin sessions with me.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
