About me
Life can present us with a wide range of challenges, from navigating family and romantic relationships, careers and life transitions, to coping with grief, trauma, or loss.
With all the pressures of life, things can sometimes feel overwhelming, and we can find ourselves feeling down, anxious and struggling to make sense of it all. And although it's normal, it can feel kind of crazy!
Counselling can provide a safe place where you can explore your feelings and experiences, in a space that is non-judgemental and rooted in empathy.
Seeking counselling can sometimes feel like a big decision and can bring up a lot of thoughts and feelings. So whether you're seeking support for a specific issue, exploring yourself on a deeper level, or simply looking to enhance your overall wellbeing, you are here, thinking about it, and that is commendable.
So, what's next?
It's important that you and your counsellor can get along, and you feel comfortable, so to get started, you can contact me to book an initial consultation. This will be a chance for us to have a talk about what you would like to explore in counselling and hear a bit about how I work - an informal get to know each other.
How I work
My practice is grounded in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I believe that you are the expert on your life, and my role is to guide and support you in uncovering your inner strengths and developing new coping strategies.
I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences freely, and find ways to move towards your desired outcome.
My integrative approach allows me to tailor therapy sessions to your unique needs, drawing from various therapeutic approaches. I integrate a variety of therapies including the Humanistic Therapies, Psychodynamic Therapies and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies.
This flexibility enables me to adapt as we work together, ensuring that you receive personalised support for your specific situation.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a BSc Psychology degree, and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
I provide individual counselling sessions with adult individuals in private practice and provide open ended therapy with adults at Headstrong Counselling. I also run monthly training and support groups for trainees and counsellors with Headstrong Counselling.
I am a Registered Member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
