About me
With many years of experience in NHS and third sector organisations, I offer warm, collaborative therapy grounded in evidence-based and trauma-informed practice. I work integratively, drawing on a range of therapeutic models tailored to each person's needs. I understand that taking the step to engage in therapy can be scary and requires a level of vulnerability. I do not take this for granted and am prepared to go at a pace that suits you, but I am equally guiding you towards your therapeutic goals.
My approach includes:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT-informed)
- Narrative Therapy & Narrative Exposure Therapy
- Systemic approaches (considering family, culture, and relational dynamics)
- Psychodynamic-informed perspectives
Areas I work with include:
- Anxiety and low mood
- Trauma and PTSD
- Relationship and attachment difficulties
- Identity and cultural issues
- Spiritual distress
- Family dynamics and life transitions
What to expect:
Therapy works best when built on trust. I’ll support you to make sense of your experiences in context - not just through symptoms, but by exploring your background, values, relationships, and what truly matters to you.
As a Black Christian woman, I bring both professional expertise and lived insight into how race, culture, faith, and neurodiversity shape our emotional lives. I offer a culturally sensitive and neurodiversity-affirming space, where we can explore the parts of your identity that matter to you. If it feels important to you, I’m comfortable and experienced in weaving these elements into our work together - helping you feel seen, heard, and supported in all your experiences.
Whether you're seeking short-term guidance or deeper, longer-term work, we will find a pace and direction that feels right for your journey.
Please note that I have satisfied ongoing Enhanced DBS and OFSTED-compliant safer recruitment checks. Thus, evidence of deemed suitability and safety working with members across the lifespan.
