About me

Hi, My name is Charlotte, I am an experienced Therapist working individually and as a part of a collective. I am a qualified Integrative and Creative Arts Therapist, I am also trained in Enhanced Evidence Based Practice with children and young people. My approach is dynamic and creative whilst bringing my warmth and presence to my work. I have a passion for creative practice whilst integrating other theories such as Person Centred, Humanistic, Existentialism, Attachment, CBT and mindfulness. Fundamentally I believe in creating the right environment and relationship for an individual to feel safe, well held and listened to.

I offer individual therapy for adults, children and young people. Some of my areas of work are:

Relationship difficulties/breakdown, Parenting difficulties, Work related issues, Panick attacks, Self-harm, Anxiety, Depression, Stress, Personal development, Loss & Bereavement, Trauma, Low self-esteem, Major Life changes, Identity, Phobias, Fostering and Adoption related issues.

Inspire Therapeutic Services are also able to provide; Therapeutic Mentoring, Bespoke training for Therapists, organisations and service providers, links to other organisations who offer specialist services such as; Equine Therapy.

I began my Therapy training back in 2008 and since then I have gained a variety of experience from working in an all male addiction treatment centre, employee assisted therapy at Devon County Council, working in a therapy centre focussing on abuse, Facilitating creative arts in an all female prison, school/PRU counselling, Fostering and Adoption, learning disabilities and various charities working with Adults, Children and Young People.

My background is within fostering and Adoption, I worked as a Family support worker, Supervisor, training coordinator and group facilitator. I also worked therapeutically with children and young people. My interests are currently in the impact creativity has upon the brain and its nuero-pathways, I am also interested in the latest research in epigenetic's.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
