About me
A very warm welcome to my profile.
I am a qualified and professional Counsellor registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. I practice in a truly empathic way ensuring you feel supported in the work that we do together, taking each session at your pace.
I am passionate about enabling people to talk by providing a non-judgmental space. I deeply understand how problems can impact both home life and work life and how having somebody to talk to can help. I have experience providing one-to-one support to individuals with depression, anxiety, stress, imposter syndrome, loss of identity, loss of job, retirement, divorce, grief, bereavement, pregnancy loss, child loss, suicidal ideation, neurodiversity including later life diagnosis. Personally, I have been gifted with first-hand understanding of neuro-diversity through lived experience within my family, thereby underpinning my work as truly inclusive. I also have set up and run groups for those going through post cancer treatment and living with a cancer diagnosis.
I am qualified to work with both adults and young people. I have extensive experience working within specialist education with the local authority for many years, in which I have adopted a Trauma Informed way of working with young people.
As an Integrative therapist, I give a flexible approach to therapy that combines techniques and theories from various counselling styles to tailor treatment to the individual needs of each client. I, as a therapist, recognise that no single approach works for everyone and I embrace a broad range of techniques and perspectives to encourage a healing process.
I work both face-to-face and online to suit your needs. I am located in the heart of Bridgend town, close to transport links for easier access.
Please feel free to contact me either by email or phone and we can have an initial chat to see if I am the right fit for your needs.
I look forward to hearing from you.
