About me
Hello, I'm Charlotte, a qualified CBT & EMDR Therapist and co-director of Cheshire Minds Psychological Therapies. I have over 12 years’ experience in the NHS. I am dedicated to helping individuals better understand themselves and find meaningful paths to growth and change. I work with both low mood and anxiety related struggles. You can view a list of more specific areas I work with below. I support clients through 3 stages of therapy; the ‘what’ - the assessment phase where we explore problem areas, the ‘why’ - we build up a bigger picture of why struggles continue. Finally we look at the ‘how’ - we explore how to manage these issues and develop skills for lasting change.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in collaboration and insight. I believe that every person’s story matters and I feel it's important to help individuals fully understand what is happening for them. I therefore work with clients to build a full formulation, a detailed, compassionate understanding of how thoughts, behaviours and feelings are linked.
If you are struggling and would like a safe space to explore difficult areas, please do reach out. I offer a free 15-20 minute consultation to see if I am the right fit. Taking that first step is often the hardest part. I hope to reassure you that it’s worth stepping outside of your comfort zone.
