About me

Hello and a warm welcome, I’m Charlotte, a fully qualified experienced Relational Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist. I’m also a student Clinical Sexologist & Relationship Therapist coming towards the end of of this specialised training.

Do you seek a secure & healthy relationship, but find yourself repeating old patterns?

Are you finding it difficult to trust, feel safe or open up emotionally & have difficulties with conflict?

Do you want to work through experiences from your childhood or past relationships?

Do you feel disconnected from your body or your identity & are unsure of who you are?

Are you struggling with difficulties around sexual function?

If any of the above resonates with you, then you are in the right place.

I am passionate about working with challenges in relationships, intimacy & sex - Relationships are challenging and it is normal to experience difficulties with trust, intimacy and sex. Many of our relational difficulties are informed by previous experiences from past relationships and our childhood and some arise from our current relationship intricacies and stressors in our environment. I am skilled to help you work through this, understand your blueprint and build a bridge to achieving the relationship and intimacy you wish for.

My work is trauma informed and trauma oriented - I can guide you through past trauma and provide you with coping strategies to move you out of surviving and into living. I will help you understand your relationship with yourself and parts of your identity that remain unseen and disconnected. I will help you to understand your nervous system and work with it to reduce symptoms you may be experiencing. I work with a three stage approach which starts with providing you with the tools to cope, followed by processing of the events and finally making sense of what these experiences fit with your life now.

My approach is compassion focused & shame reduction focused - I can assist you in strengthening and repairing your connection to yourself and to others by identifying your needs and boundaries and forging a pathway to voicing and honouring them.

I will work with you collaboratively to tailor our work to your needs and provide a joyful, inclusive, queer & LGBTQ+ safe space where every part of you is welcome.  My work is talk therapy based, no nudity or touch is involved at any time.

  • Relationship Difficulties; Infidelity & Attachment
  • Low Self-Esteem
  • Trauma & Post-Traumatic Growth
  • Sexual & Interpersonal Violence/Abuse

About me & my way of working:

My way of working is oriented around thethe premise that the quality of our emotional health is often reflective of and somewhat dependant on our wider relationship health and that those that we share our lives with have the biggest impact on us. As an Integrative therapist I am flexible in my approach and draw on a number of tools from different therapies which at times may look like us exploring thoughts and behaviours on paper, identifying emotions through creative exercises or learning emotional regulation techniques, however, most of my work is focused on exploring the past in order to make sense of the present.

I am a multi-cultural and bi-lingual therapist and welcome diversity in my practice. I am fluent in Spanish, however at this moment in time I am only delivering sessions in English language.

Are you ready to take the first step?

If you would like to take your first step by making an enquiry and booking in for an initial session, please don't hesitate to get in touch by email or fill in the contact form on my website. Please check your spam/junk folder for replies!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
