About me
It all starts with a hello...
Welcome, I’m Charlotte and I’m a Relational Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist, registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy working with all individuals over the age of 18+ at my private practice Nebula Counselling & Psychotherapy, offering In-person sessions in Cardiff City Centre and Online sessions via zoom across the UK and Spain.
Therapy is an ongoing process of transformation reserved not only for when we are suffering but also for when we require space to navigate life, improve coping, explore the past, find meaning or just be.
Areas I can help you with:
I experienced in and am able to help you with many of life's difficulties such as anxiety, depression, grief & loss, trauma, self-esteem, to name a few; however, my areas of speciality are working with relationship difficulties, attachment, identity, guilt & shame, adverse childhood experiences, family difficulties, abuse, narcissistic abuse and interpersonal trauma. I am also currently completing further specialist post-qualifying training as a Clinical Sexologist & Relationship Therapist and will begin making Psychosexual Therapy available to clients at a reduced fee from late 2024 (please enquire for more information).
I have experienced being in the seat of the client and understand the difficulty of taking steps to find a therapist you can connect with and help you make sense of it all. I am inclusive and offer a safe, non-judgemental, relaxed and comfortable space to all.
About my way of working:
My way of working is "Relational" which means that I place a great importance on creating a secure therapeutic relationship and stable base with my clients in order to understand your needs and promote healing of emotional wounds. This is based upon the premise that the quality of our emotional health is often reflective of and somewhat dependant on our wider relationship health. My work is also "Integrative" which means that I am flexible in my approach and therefore I can tailor the work to you and your preferences by integrating theory and techniques from different approaches of psychotherapy. I work collaboratively with clients and my approach is mainly informed by psychodynamic, existential and person-centred therapy, although I also incorporate elements from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
I am a Trauma-Informed therapist and understand the impact that trauma can have on building trust, emotional regulation and daily functioning. My background and postgraduate education in Psychology allows me to bring psycho-education into our work to help you to understand what may be happening on a psychological and physiological level and how we can work with this to help you feel more in control of what you may be experiencing.
I’m a qualified translator and bi-lingual from a young age, therefore, I am also able to offer psychotherapy in Spanish (Español - Castellano).

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
