About me

Hello. I work with adults (18 years and above); individuals and couples and I have experience of working with a wide range of issues. I believe that change comes from within and I will help you to work through and process the issues facing you.  I am an Accredited integrative counsellor, which means I having trained in different types of therapy, which allows me to tailor counselling to meet your individual needs. I am  a member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and have a Diploma in Relationship Counselling with Relate.  I provide a supportive, calm, and non judgemental space, where you will feel listened to and heard.

Feeling overwhelmed, sad, lonely, confused, angry, anxious, depressed, relationship difficulties, PTSD, other worries?

My Approach:

Individuals: Talking through what is troubling you, can bring a sense of relief. Counselling has the potential to bring about significant change to your life which can lead to positive impacts on your self-esteem, confidence and relationships. This is by providing the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how you relate to others and why you behave and feel how you do in certain situations.

Couples: Together we look at what’s going on in your relationship, by providing a space for both your voices and needs to be aired and heard: - Communication – Resolving conflict – Intimacy – After an affair – Life stages – Managing separation and divorce.

I recognise that the pandemic has placed stress on individuals, relationships, on mental health, and on our ability to grieve for loved ones.

I offer online and in-person sessions, providing a confidential space, free from judgement, for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. Each session is 50 minutes and the number of sessions is completely your choice. I suggest a minimum of 6 sessions but we will continue with the sessions (if you are comfortable to do so) to work through what is troubling you and your goals.

The Next Step:

Please contact me by phone or email to tell me how I can help and for us to agree on a mutually suitable time/day for your weekly counselling sessions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
