About me

I offer individual therapy for adults (18+) both online and in-person, in London Bridge and Clapham.

I am an integrative therapist, meaning that I use a number of approaches when working with clients. I believe that one size does not fit all, and so my approach offers flexibility to suit you as an individual and your individual needs. I will support you not only to explore how your history may be impacting your present-day life, but also to look forward to a more purposeful and meaningful future.

I see therapy as a collaborative process, so developing a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. As your therapist, my role is not to provide you with the answers, but instead to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for self-exploration. With the increased awareness developed through our work together comes the opportunity for more choice and the possibility for change and personal growth.

Clients come to me for many reasons, including work-related issues, relationship difficulties, low mood, or feelings that life has lost meaning and purpose. I often work with professionals (due to my own background as a qualified accountant) as well as those going through major life changes, those struggling with loss, including bereavement, or individuals managing long-term health conditions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

How it works

  1. Enquiry

Want to give therapy a try? Get in touch.

Call on 07396 810749, or submit an enquiry through the Counselling Directory.

  2. Initial Session

Your initial session gives you the opportunity to explain your situation and to find your feet in the therapeutic environment.

This is the perfect time to see if we are a good fit for one another. There is no pressure to begin regular therapy beyond this point.

  3. Continuing Therapy

Should you wish to start regular therapy following your initial consultation, we will meet for 50-minutes on a weekly basis.

I usually ask that you commit to 6 further sessions, at which point we will have a review to see how you are finding our work together. We will discuss whether you’d like to continue working with an open-ended agreement, for a fixed number of sessions or to end therapy.
