About me

I believe therapy is more than just talking—it’s about being truly heard, understood, and supported in a space where you can heal, grow, and reclaim your sense of self. I have completed specialist training in grief, trauma, suicidality, LGBTQ+, counselling children and young people, working therapeutically with autistic clients, and life-limiting illnesses.

As a BACP-registered humanistic and integrative counsellor, I bring a rich and varied career dedicated to mentorship, advocacy, and emotional well-being, allowing me to offer a compassionate, trauma-informed approach tailored to your unique journey.

My background gives me a unique insight into the complexities of human experience. With decades of experience mentoring and teaching both adults and children, I have helped individuals cultivate confidence, discipline, and emotional strength—powerful tools that extend into the therapeutic process. As a senior investigator, I worked on the front lines of safeguarding and supporting victims of exploitation and trauma in high-pressure environments. This has given me a deep understanding of trauma’s impact and the necessity of creating a safe, judgment-free space where healing can begin. As a youth engagement worker (holding a Level 3 Youth Work Award and Youth Mental Health First Aid qualification), I have worked closely with young people through identity struggles, crises, and personal development, fostering emotional resilience and self-awareness.

These experiences allow me to approach therapy with a unique blend of sensitivity, strength, and practical insight, ensuring that every session is shaped around your needs—whether you are navigating grief, anxiety, past trauma, or personal growth.

I offer flexible sessions via telephone, email, online, or in person, creating a safe and accessible space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace.

Therapy should meet you where you are—without pressure, expectation, or judgment. If you're ready to take the next step, I’m here to walk alongside you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
