About me

Navigating Life’s Chaos—With a Little Help
Life has a funny way of throwing curveballs when you least expect them. One minute, everything’s fine; the next, you’re wondering if you accidentally signed up for an extreme obstacle course. But you don’t have to figure it all out alone. I’m Catherine Montague, an integrative therapist, here to offer a safe, supportive space where we can work through challenges together—without judgment.

How I Can Help
✨ Stress Overload – If life feels like an endless to-do list with no "done" column, we’ll untangle the stress, find its root causes, and create a plan to bring back balance (and your sanity).

💬 Relationship Tune-Ups – Struggling with communication? Facing conflicts? Just trying to get your partner to put their socks in the laundry basket? I’ll help you build stronger, healthier relationships through better understanding and connection.

🛠 Healing from the Past – Trauma has a sneaky way of showing up in the present. Together, we’ll create a safe space to process past experiences, make sense of emotional responses, and move forward with strength.

🔍 Rediscovering Yourself – Feel like you’ve lost touch with who you are? We’ll explore what’s been holding you back, break unhelpful patterns, and help you step into your most authentic, confident self.

My Approach
I believe that therapy should be a mix of deep work and genuine human connection—because healing happens when we feel safe, seen, and maybe even share a chuckle along the way. Mental health challenges are real, frustrating, and sometimes downright unfair, but together, we’ll work towards clarity, resilience, and inner peace.

Let’s Chat
I offer both online and in-person sessions from my therapy room in Wokingham, Berkshire. If you’re ready to start this journey—or just want to see if we’re a good fit—reach out! No pressure, just a friendly conversation that genuinely cares about what you need.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
