About me

I have worked as a Clinical Psychologist for over a decade in both Australia and in the NHS in the UK. I specialise in supporting people who are experiencing anxiety, lowered mood and other mental health challenges.

I am particularly passionate about supporting people to adjust to difficult changes and transitions in life. These include relationships, loss, bereavement, stress, burnout, health conditions and other challenges.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have completed training in CBT, ACT, CFT, Mindfulness and DBT. I use an integrative approach, meaning I use draw on skills from different therapies to tailor support to best fit each person’s needs and goals.

In sessions, I focus on giving space to talk about what feels important and having the most impact on quality of life. I work collaboratively to develop goals, a treatment plan and then regularly review progress. I regularly make space to think together about what is most helpful and make changes as needed.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
