About me

I'm Catherine and I became a counsellor to help people navigate through life's journeys. I'm based in the UK and have years of professional work experience in many areas.

I have helped clients with stress and anxiety; coping with grief and loss; motivation, self-esteem and confidence; depression and anxiety; personal, professional and relationship issues; domestic and sexual abuse; medical and health issues.

I'm especially interested in grief and loss. This could be work, relationships, pets, housing, esteem. Grief and loss don't emerge only when we've lost a person!

I've also helped many going through peri-menopause and menopause, men as well as ladies as awareness is vital.

How can I help?

I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

How can counselling help you.

Counselling will help you gain an understanding of the worries you may have; you will learn new coping strategies to manage your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and you’ll grow in confidence along the way. You may feel at times it’s like a roller coaster ride, some ups, some downs, however, our aim is for the end of the ride to be settled and steady.

What to expect.

Creating meaningful change is a collaborative process, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. While I don't have a magic wand to fix everything instantly, I believe that by working together, we can uncover the insights and strategies you need to make positive decisions and build resilience — not just for today, but for your future as well. I'm here to guide and empower you as we navigate this journey side by side.

I have a range of appointment times and I'm willing to arrange appointments outside my schedule by mutual arrangement.

Further information

I have a person-centred approach so I'm client-led. I've been working remotely since the pandemic and find it a really flexible approach. It means I can work with people wherever they are and meet people I never would have otherwise.

I'll work with you until you can see and feel the difference, it's all in the hands of the client, with my help.
