About me

Hi, I'm Catherine and I became a counsellor to help people get through life's blips and support you with the issues you may have to deal with. I'm based in the UK, work remotely by video, phone or text, and have years of professional work experience in many areas.

How can I help?

I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have hidden strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. I'd like to help you with that mind/body connection and see where it takes us. Adverse Childhood Experiences can have a lasting traumatic effect and we don't realise this. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process, through my personal and professional experience and training which gives me a further insight into what may be concerning you now.

Do you need help with coming out of a narcissistic, gaslighting or unhealthy relationship? Or  bereavement: coping with grief and loss - this could be work, relationships, pets, housing, these feelings don't emerge only when we've lost a person! Do you need help with motivation, self-esteem and confidence? Depression and anxiety; personal, professional and relationship issues; domestic and sexual abuse; medical and health issues.

I've also helped many going through peri-menopause and menopause, men as well as ladies as awareness & understanding is vital.

How can counselling help you.

Counselling will help you gain an understanding of how to handle the worries you may have; you will learn new coping strategies and learn to manage your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and you’ll grow in confidence along the way. You may feel at times it’s like a roller coaster ride, some ups, some downs, however, our aim is for the end of the ride to be settled and steady.

What to expect.

Creating meaningful change is a collaborative process, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. While I don't have a magic wand to fix everything instantly, I believe that by working together, we can uncover the insights and strategies you need to make positive decisions and build resilience — not just for today, but for your future as well. I'm here to guide and empower you as we navigate this journey side by side and find your inner strength.

I have a range of appointment times and I'm willing to arrange appointments outside my schedule by mutual arrangement.

Further information

I have a person-centred approach so I'm client-led. I've been working remotely since the pandemic and find it a really flexible approach. It means I can work with people wherever they are and meet people I never would have otherwise.

I'll work with you until you can see and feel the difference, it's all in the hands of you, the client, with my help. I hope to see you soon, when you're ready.
