About me

I offer counselling and psychotherapy face to face in a beautiful, private and peaceful therapy space just a short drive from Bowness-on-Windermere, and around 20 minutes from Kendal and Ulverston, in a picturesque countryside setting close to nature and away from the busyness of everyday life. Sessions are also available online, or outdoors through Walk & Talk therapy. I recognise the importance of movement in supporting emotional regulation, clarity and wellbeing, and for some clients this can be gently integrated into therapy.

I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, overwhelm, low self-esteem, burnout, grief and loss, relationship or family difficulties, and life transitions. I work with people navigating neurodiversity and menopause recognising the emotional, relational and physical impact these experiences can have.

Alongside my professional training, I bring both lived and professional understanding of some of the challenges people can face, including experience of grief, trauma, terminal illness, and the emotional pressures that come with balancing working life, parenting and caring responsibilities.

As a TA and Eco TA informed and Integrative practitioner, I tailor therapy to each individual, drawing on different approaches depending on your needs. I offer some clients psychoeducation and practical tools where helpful to support emotional awareness, coping and self-understanding.

I am a registered member of the BACP and work within their ethical framework, offering care, respect and professionalism throughout the therapeutic relationship.

Whether you are going through a difficult period or feeling stuck or overwhelmed, therapy can offer you space to slow down, make sense of things, and begin to feel more grounded again.

If you feel ready to take the next step, I offer a free 30 minute consultation online, we can talk through what’s bringing you here and see whether working together feels like a good fit.  You’re welcome to get in touch by email or text message, I’ll respond within 2-3 days to arrange a time that suits you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
